Privacy Policy
Plain summary: OMEVO is an Android-first personal AI assistant created by Aneo B.V. The app may process your chat messages, account details, technical data, and selected memory or personalization data to provide the service. Some memory features are designed to be user-controlled and, where implemented, local-first. This Privacy Policy explains what we process, why, where it may go, and what rights you have.
1. Who we are
OMEVO is provided by Aneo B.V., a company registered in the Netherlands.
- Legal entity: Aneo B.V.
- Registered address: Thomas Morelaan 104
2135 WC Hoofddorp
Netherlands - KVK number: 98830848
- Privacy contact: privacy@omevo.ai
- Legal contact: legal@omevo.ai
For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation, Aneo B.V. is normally the data controller for personal data processed through the OMEVO website, app, account, support, and service operations, unless a separate agreement says otherwise.
2. Scope of this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to:
- the OMEVO mobile application, initially launched on Google Play for Android;
- the OMEVO website, including omevo.ai and related subdomains;
- early access, waitlist, feedback, and support interactions;
- communications with us about OMEVO;
- future iOS versions, if and when launched, unless a separate policy applies.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, app stores, AI providers, analytics providers, authentication providers, or external services that have their own privacy policies.
3. Product nature and important privacy assumptions
OMEVO is a personal AI assistant. It may allow you to chat with an AI system and may use context or memory features to make responses more relevant to you.
The product is designed around the principle that personal memory should be transparent, controlled, and not treated as a hidden black box. However, the exact implementation may evolve during early access. The app, website, and this Privacy Policy should always be read together with the actual features available in your version.
Where the app stores certain memory or profile information locally on your device, that information may remain on your device unless you back it up, sync it, share it, or the app transmits selected context to the backend for AI response generation. Where cloud services are used, cloud processing is described in this Privacy Policy.
4. Personal data we may collect
4.1 Account and identity data
- name or display name, if provided;
- email address;
- authentication identifiers;
- account creation date and account status;
- country, language, or region settings, if available.
4.2 Chat and AI interaction data
- messages, prompts, questions, instructions, and conversation content you submit;
- AI-generated responses;
- conversation identifiers, timestamps, message metadata, and status information;
- conversation summaries or active context used to improve continuity;
- selected memory snippets or contextual information sent to the backend for response generation.
4.3 Memory and personalization data
Depending on the version and your settings, OMEVO may process:
- declared memory that you explicitly enter, such as your preferences, interests, language, or profile details;
- inferred memory candidates extracted from conversations, such as preferences or repeated facts you appear to want the assistant to remember;
- behavioral preference signals, such as whether you prefer shorter, longer, direct, or exploratory responses;
- memory categories, confidence levels, reasons, source message references, and timestamps;
- deletion, reset, edit, or export actions related to memory features.
We aim to separate declared memory from inferred memory and to use memory as context rather than as a final conclusion. You should not enter sensitive information unless you are comfortable with the relevant feature processing it.
4.4 Device, app, and technical data
- device model, operating system version, app version, language, timezone, and approximate region;
- IP address, network information, and request metadata;
- crash logs, diagnostics, performance data, and error reports;
- usage events, such as feature usage, page views, clicks, and session information;
- security logs used to detect abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access.
4.5 Website, cookies, and analytics data
When you visit the OMEVO website, we may collect information through cookies or similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
4.6 Support, feedback, and communications
- messages you send to us;
- feedback, bug reports, ratings, or survey responses;
- support attachments or screenshots you choose to share;
- records of our replies.
4.7 Payment and subscription data
OMEVO is currently intended to launch free on Android for market validation. If paid features are introduced later, payment processing may be handled by app stores, payment processors, or subscription providers. We normally do not receive full payment card details from those providers.
5. Sources of personal data
We collect personal data from:
- you directly, when you use the app, website, forms, or support channels;
- your device or browser, through technical logs and cookies;
- authentication providers, app stores, analytics providers, or other service providers;
- AI systems and backend services that generate outputs, summaries, or memory candidates based on your inputs.
6. Purposes and legal bases
| Purpose | Examples | Legal basis under GDPR |
|---|---|---|
| Provide OMEVO | Accounts, chat, AI responses, conversation history, app functionality | Contract, or steps before entering a contract |
| Personalization and memory | Declared memory, inferred memory, selected context, response style | Contract, legitimate interests, or consent where required |
| Security and abuse prevention | Fraud detection, misuse prevention, rate limiting, incident investigation | Legitimate interests, legal obligation |
| Service improvement | Debugging, reliability, feature performance, aggregated analytics | Legitimate interests or consent, depending on the data and jurisdiction |
| Support | Responding to questions, bug reports, complaints | Contract, legitimate interests |
| Legal compliance | Records, regulatory requests, law enforcement requests where valid | Legal obligation, legitimate interests |
| Marketing communications | Launch updates, iOS notifications, newsletters | Consent or legitimate interests where allowed |
| Non-essential cookies | Analytics, marketing pixels, preference tracking where used | Consent where required |
7. How AI processing works
When you send a message, the app or backend may assemble relevant context and send it to one or more AI model providers to generate a response. The context may include your current message, recent conversation history, conversation summaries, and selected memory snippets.
We try to keep prompts bounded and relevant. Not every piece of stored information is sent to the AI model for every message. The service may use different models for different tasks, such as final chat responses, memory extraction, summarization, or context shaping.
AI providers may process inputs and outputs according to their own technical and contractual terms. Where we use third-party processors, we aim to use appropriate contractual safeguards.
8. Sensitive personal data
OMEVO is not designed for storing or processing sensitive personal data such as health data, biometric data for identification, precise location, financial account details, political opinions, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, trade union membership, or information about children.
Because this is an open-ended AI chat app, you may choose to type sensitive information. You should avoid sharing sensitive information unless it is necessary and you understand the risks. If we identify sensitive information, we may process it only to provide the service, protect safety, comply with law, or as otherwise permitted by applicable law.
9. Children
OMEVO is not intended for children below the age at which they can lawfully consent to digital services in their country. In the EU, this age can vary by Member State. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children where parental consent is required. If you believe a child has provided personal data to OMEVO without appropriate consent, contact us.
10. Sharing of personal data
We may share personal data with:
- cloud hosting and database providers;
- AI model and inference providers;
- authentication providers;
- analytics and crash reporting providers;
- email, support, and customer communication providers;
- Google Play and, later, Apple App Store where relevant;
- professional advisers, auditors, insurers, and legal advisers;
- public authorities where legally required;
- successors or buyers in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, subject to safeguards.
We do not sell your personal data to advertisers.
11. International transfers
Aneo B.V. is based in the Netherlands, but OMEVO may be used globally and may rely on providers located in or processing data from other countries. Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we aim to use appropriate safeguards, such as adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, supplementary measures, or other transfer tools where required.
12. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required by law.
| Data type | Typical retention approach |
|---|---|
| Account data | While your account is active, and for a limited period after deletion where needed for security, legal, or accounting purposes. |
| Cloud conversation history | Until you delete it, close your account, or we apply retention limits. Early access retention may change. |
| Local memory on device | Until you delete it, reset the app, uninstall the app, clear app data, or use available memory controls. |
| Support records | As long as needed to resolve requests and maintain business records. |
| Security logs | For a limited period needed to protect the service, investigate misuse, and meet legal obligations. |
| Analytics data | Aggregated or deleted when no longer needed, depending on the analytics provider and configuration. |
13. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- access your personal data;
- rectify inaccurate data;
- delete personal data;
- restrict processing;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive data portability;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
In the Netherlands, the supervisory authority is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. You may also contact your local EU data protection authority.
14. How to exercise your rights
Send requests to privacy@omevo.ai. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Some rights are not absolute and may depend on the legal basis, technical feasibility, or legal obligations.
15. Deletion controls
OMEVO may provide controls to delete conversations, account data, or local memory. Local deletion on your device may not automatically delete cloud data, and cloud deletion may not automatically remove local data from devices you control, unless the app specifically implements that behavior. We aim to make destructive flows clear before you confirm them.
16. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. These may include encryption in transit, access controls, logging, secure cloud infrastructure, and restricted access to production systems. No system is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your device, operating system, and account credentials secure.
17. Automated decision-making
OMEVO generates AI responses, but it is not intended to make legally significant automated decisions about you. You should not use OMEVO as the sole basis for important decisions affecting rights, safety, health, finance, employment, or legal status.
18. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as OMEVO evolves. We will update the date at the top and, where required, provide additional notice or request consent. Continued use after changes means you acknowledge the updated policy.
